Lighthouse description

The lighthouse at Shark Island may be a little old but it is maintained daily and is spotlessly clean. And though it may seem quite simple from the outside, it has all the necessary facilities to afford guests a relaxing stay that is free of hassles. It has a living room with a television set, two bedrooms with two beds each, two bathrooms with working showers and toilets, and a kitchen complete with cutlery, plates, a kettle, and a refrigerator. Also, there is a built-in fireplace in the area for barbeques, a washing-up facility for doing dishes, and a laundry area. And there are no problems with electricity here since it has access to a 220V power point all day long. There are a multitude of things that can be done while in the area, starting off with the sightseeing tour to the Kolmanskop Ghost Town which gives visitors a peek into the lives of diamond miners in the past.

Also, there is the Zeepard Boat Tour that allows people to get up close and personal to various marine animals such as dolphins, seals, penguins, and many more.

Then there is the Namib Offroad Excursions which features dune driving and overnight camping — two experiences that anyone coming to must try out.
