Lighthouse Island Istria

Welcome to the tiny island of Porer, where you can reach the other side of the island in just a little bit more than a minute. On this island, you will witness the must scenic sunrises and -sets, quiet nights, and amazing stary skies. Trips to and from the city of Pula and the island of Unije can be arranged with Mr. Giotta, the captain.

The lighthouse was built in 1833 on the island which is located approx 2,5 km from the mainland and the small town of Premantura. The lighthouse itself is 35m in length, and has the apartment in the keeper's quarters below.

The apartment is an approx. 42 m2 with two double rooms, a kitchen and a shower-WC. The yard is made of solid concrete, and there is plenty of space to relax outside. Swimming is recommended at docking places. Even if you are an experienced swimmer, one must be cautious of going to far from the shore due to strong currents. The lighthouse keeper will gladly tell you everything you need to pay attention to. 

The transfers from and to the island are arranged by Mr. Giotta. It is wise to contact the day before, to discuss the weather conditions and what the best time is to disembark. Also, food and beverages can be arranged by Mr. Giotta for additional costs so that you can eat and drink on the island!
