Lighthouse description
This cottage is a two bedroomed cottage on a single floor with a sitting room, dining kitchen and one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Like all of the cottages, cleaning is included in the weekly price.
The cottages are set on a headland just south of Aberdeen harbour and they are just a ten-minute drive from the city centre where guests can find a shopping and leisure mall, the railway station, the ferry link, and the harbour. In walking distance is Balnagask public golf links, an 18 and 9 hole golf course that shares the headland with the lighthouse.
Further afield, the surrounding areas form part of the District Wildlife Site and have a dramatic coastline. The cliffs attract a number of birds and it is common to see dolphins swimming out to sea. The mouth of the Aberdeen harbour is known as one of the best places in Europe to see dolphins. There is no shortage of things to do in this beautiful part of Scotland and certainly no shortage of magnificent hikes along a wonderful coastline.
