The Northern Lights Apartments in Aberdeen are a set of fantastic apartments, found in the grounds of the historic Aberdeen Girdleness Lighthouse. There are three cottages to choose from in this stunning location, all set amongst the walled compound that share a courtyard. Although it is now remotely operated, the lighthouse is a 130 ft. tower that still serves as a safety beacon.
These “Visit Scotland” 4 star accredited apartments, have all been recently refurbished and have fully fitted modern kitchens, Wi-Fi, free off-street parking, professional interior designs, with well-equipped facilities. All the cottages come with premium brand bed linen and towels, and premium branded toiletries provided as part of your stay
The three cottages were the original lighthouse keeper’s cottages and were built in 1833. They have many of the original features such as window shutters and brass door hinges. The lighthouse itself, as a building of architectural and historic interest, has a Grade A listing with Historic Scotland.
