Welcome to our unique bed & breakfast Sea View Room, located in a unique lighthouse. It was built in 1821 and is situated near the city of Newport, Gwent in Wales. This lighthouse isn't like many other lighthouses, while it's not tall as most of them are, and considerably bigger in circumference. This room offers not only an amazing sea view, but also a very comfortable large waterbed and an en-suite bathroom.
This lighthouse is for sale. If you are interested in buying it, please contact us.
Because of the breathtaking views and unique style, our Lighthouse has received great recognition from tv and magazines. This beautifully decorated and romantic room will enchant even the most down to earth person. No wonder the place is so popular for wedding parties!
The room is equipped with the necessary amenities such as a tea and coffee maker, complimentary toiletries, dvd player, en suite bathroom with shower, hair dryer, wireless internet access and a 40" flatscreen television.
Complementary therapies and treatments
Apart from a great night rest and wonderful sea views, we are proud to offer a wide range of different therapies and treatments. From a full body massage and facials to hypotherapy and life coaching. Sounds good? Then don't forget to mention you want a treatment while booking your room.
About this lighthouse
We are the proud lighthouse keepers and love to share this wonderful place with you during a stay in our B&B or with a wedding. We are situated near the city of Newport, Gwent, at the junction of the Severn and the Usk estuaries, overlooking the Bristol Channel. The lighthouse was designed by the Scottish architect James Walker. The result is unique because of the rather odd dimensions: the building is actually shorter in height and larger in circumference.
The interior is rather quirky than luxurious and the wedge shaped rooms all have their own character. There is a stone spiral stairs right in the centre of the lighthouse, going all the way from the wine cellar (the original rain collecting well) up to top of this wonderful building.
For the Doctor Who fans out there: know that have our own Dalek on the bottom of the stairs - with a great story attached to it - and TARDIS on the roof.
Furthermore we have a very convenient bathtub in our roof garden - simply the best place to enjoy the sun set with a glass of champagne in your hand.
Look forward to welcome you aboard soon!

Amazing place to stay!
An amazing place to stay. Warm, cosy, with fantastic views. The hot tub was an added bonus which we relaxed in. Lovely large breakfast set us up for the day and the owner Frank recommended things to do in the area when we asked him. So we had a great 2 night stay

Amazing wedding location
My daughter chose the lighthouse for her wedding, Frank and his wife could not have been more helpful. Blessed with fabulous weather we had a fantastic day. The rooms were lovely, the views beautiful and the breakfast the following day perfect. Very good hosts that helped to make the day extra special.
I read the good and bad reviews this morning, it is a B&B, it is at the end of a dirt track that is bumpy, but the venue is a ex lighthouse on the estuary shoreline! It's a husband and wife show, it's a large property and I a lot of work to keep ship shape.... A little bit of patience and communication and your time staying hear would be memorable and special....Personally 10/10

This place is gorgeous.Totally out of the way of the Urban hubbub.Beautiful views, fresh air and superb hospitality from the owners.Bet night\'s sleep in a seriously comfortable bed and room. They went out of their way to provide us with favourite breakfast items and I had the biggest breakfast ever known to mortal man. I have already rebooked for a longer stay next year. Fabulous.
