Lighthouse summary

Located on the North West coast of mainland Shetland, the lighthouse is only an hours drive from its capital town, Lerwick. Even though there are no direct neighbours around, the warm and cozy feel of the lighthouse on a wild and stormy night is an experience never to be forgotten!

The Eshaness lighthouse is located atop some of the most dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery in the UK. The area is also one of the top attractions for locals and visitors alike with astonishing panoramic views, and the best of Shetland's scenery and wildife. The feel of the lighthouse is comfortable and romantic, so whether you travel with friends or family, you will feel right at home.

Lighthouse description

The keeper's quarters sleep up to six guests. There are three bedrooms in total: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and one room with twin bunkbeds. There is also a cot available for infants. Bedlinen is provided, and the beds will be made up upon arrival. 

The livingroom is a restful retreat after a long day of walking or sightseeing in the area. The place is comfortable and has a sofa, large screen television, DVD player. The dining table is also located here, where you can enjoy home cooked meals.   

The kitchen of course is fully equipped. Basic supplies such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk are proved on arrival along with a complimentary selection of local ale and oatcakes to enjoy while settling in. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and bath with shower. Towels are provided as well.
