The Belle Tout (also spelled Belle Toute ) is a decommissioned and British landmark located at Beachy Head, East Sussex, close to the town of Eastbourne. It has been called "Britain's most famous inhabited " because of its striking location and use in film and television.
The Belle Tout, was moved inland in March 1999 to escape the receding coastline. It was originally built in the 1820s by a local character known as 'Mad' Jack Fuller, but became a private home after being superseded by the Beachy Head .
This beautifully renovated with stunning views, has 6 bedrooms. Each bedroom is very unique and has its own lovely details. The bedrooms are rather wonderful: they are not huge, but they all have windows that bring the outside in. While the white walls of the rooms soak up all the light, you can enjoy fantastic views of rolling hills, pretty fabrics, lovely linen and the odd exposed brick wall. The shower rooms are small but sweet, and one room has a bath. There's also a wood-burner in the sitting room, where guests gather each night before climbing up to explore the lantern.
The Keepers Loft hotel room with feature brick walls and fireplace, includes en-suite facilities including a shower and very comfortable double bed. The New England room is a modern decorated picture windows room with a stunning view on South Downs, landscaped gardens and the fish pond. The room can be configured for either a super king size double bed or a twin bed.
The Shiraz room offers wonderful views along the Seven Sisters coastline towards Birling gap and back over the undulating contours of the Downs. The room has king size double bad and shower. The Old England room is very traditionally decorated and is the only room with a bath. It offers luxorious panoramic views over the South Downs, landscaped gardens and the fish pond. You can enjoy the view from a king size double bed and relax in the bath.
The Beach Hut room offers its guests glorious views on South Downs, and has a king size bed and shower. The Captains Cabin is a very sophisticated room, that includes a double bed, shower and fantastic views including Beachy Head .

Briliiant Little Place
What a brilliant little place. It is such a unique place with lovely rooms and a view that is worth every penny from the lantern you get unparalleled 360 views, absolutely stunning. The building and location are fantastic but the staff make it extra special. Nothing is too much trouble, such a friendly welcome. You can't beat sitting in the lantern at night with a bottle of wine and the lights off, looking out at all the lights and stars. Will be going back for sure.

Beautiful hotel with a very unique style. The interior is as nice as the exterior and the people who run it are truly lovely. The food is top notch and I really couldn't recommended this place anymore.

Fantastic location, great views, great breakfast! As a gift for my retirement we had a longer stay in a real lighthousem as a gift.It turned out to be a stay in a beautifully renovated lighthouse. Namely a lighthouse perched on a cliff -. A dream! In the living room, reading room and furnished lightroom on top of the lighthouse, you can enjoy a panoramic 360 ° view and some music. The sea, the Beachy Head lighthouse there deep down, the chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters (nicer than Dover), the green countryside of East Sussex and in the distance the village of East Dean (as Midsummer Murders decor). The lighthouse perched on the cliff, with the "Captains Cabin" as comfortable bedroom (not too wide) overlooking the picturesque cliff into the water the Beachy Head lighthouse. Conclusion: highly recommended, especially if you can get as a gift.
